Three Iran short films to vie at Kashmir World filmfest

Kashmir World Film Festival in Pakistan is scheduled to host three Iranian short films.

‘It Rains Slowly’, ‘Gray Umbrella’ and ‘Forouzan’ are to vie at the competition section of the third edition of the event.

Produced in Turkey and directed by Saeed Nejati, the 15-minute ‘It Rains Slowly’ tells the story of some school students in the 1980s who intended to help their teacher.

Mirabbas Khosravinejad’s ‘Forouzan’ narrates the story of a young woman whose husband has recently passed away. She lives with her two young children in a village, and protects a herd of sheep against the attack of thieves at night.

Based on a loose adaptation of a short story by Argentinean writer Fernando Sorrentino, called ‘There's a Man in the Habit of Hitting me on the Head with an Umbrella’, the ‘Gray Umbrella’ directed by Mohmmad Poustindouz is the story of a man with a bad habit, until a man with an umbrella enters his life.

Kashmir World Film Festival is built around film movement and associated activities to create and explore a platform for the film makers, activists, students, scholars and people who love films.

Starting from June 19, the event is to go on until June 25, 2018.
